Fake Reality

At first glance the title may sound like two contradictory words paired together, however on reading further it would sound as an apt title..

In this world of diplomacy, even for a question such as: "How often have you supported the truth?", will be answered in a diplomatic way.. Considering the fact with today's next gen people, faking it out seems the norm. Being, what you are not, looks/sounds REAL to the world...
Few instances I would like to quote with their after math showcasing the depth of "fake"ness in us:

Truth--Its never seen# I was late the other day to my office and unfortunately bumped into one of my mangers only to be stopped by a question, 'You are coming now, why are you late ?'
There were two immediate options to me as answer Blame me for it or blame others(in this case, the traffic while traveling).. I wanted to take a stand and try cutting the norm of fake and took the blame on me by telling, "I slept a little longer", an unexpected answer for my supervisor.
This resulted as the whole idea being exaggerated and I was moved to different team in some time.

# Was in a conversation with another female friend of mine, everything seem to fine except the fact that I did not enjoy the conversation, though I did stick to the norm -- of faking, ofcourse -- to make sure the other person is not offended by the fact that I did not enjoy the conversation, but it could not be carried on for a long time and at one moment I broke the flow and tried to peacefully end it, but as they say, Truth is bitter, this friend of mine did get offended... The next thing I know now, its been weeks I ve spoken with her now.

One common thing to be noticed would be the reality part, ie., the aftermath of telling the truth.
Preaching something which we normally don't do will also sound as fake,  but the whole point of the article seems to be be brighten now - no matter you fake it or not..
The question is - Do you respect the truth being told to you...?
