the Mystical Blue Beauty...

Rameshwaram overviewAll of us, as kids, were fascinated by the first view of the mighty sea. My foremost encounter with the Mystical Blue Beauty was at Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu. The breathtaking view atop the World famous Pamban Bridge opening up to the Indian Ocean is simply unforgettable. As we grew older, we always continued to cherish visiting a beach, while beach fanatics love to reside in a sea facing home and falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves.

Every individual on earth has an exclusive experience with the Mystical Blue Beauty and I am no exception to it. Recently on a trip to Gokarna, near Shimoga, West Karnataka, India, with my colleagues, I was treated to a heavenly bliss , 5  beaches each separated by a hill and all the beaches boast of their own private coastline opening up to the Arabian sea.

As I relax on one of the exotic sea shores, the Kudle beach, in peace with the cool breeze hitting me as Trance music is played on my soundbox with my eyes gazing out towards the crashing waves, a thought pops into my mind.

thought poping moment The sea or The Mystical Blue Beauty, as I prefer to call it, gives away two things to the human race
1)tranquility, through the sound of crashing waves in the background and memories (experiments have proved that sound of moving water is therapeutic in nature)
2)it rejuvenates our body, mind and life within.

The Mystical Blue Beauty taught me a few things that I never realized before.

The sea shore is more like our inner voice and soul because at a beach all we happen to hear is the sound of waves splashing and crashing, which may be great to look at, but deep within them lies a mysterious story.  Similarly, when our inner voice shouts out loud, all we can hear is that voice within and nothing beyond. Amazingly, our outward appearance tries to disguise the disturbance within.

Each night, the Mystical Blue Beauty throws off all the garbage/unwanted stuff to the shores, just as we humans wake up forgiving and forgetting all the sins of others and ourselves and start up fresh for a fantastic day ahead.
The Mystical Blue Beauty is so huge yet it is so alone in its life, its frustration with its loneliness does come out once in a way in the form of huge waves , not tsunamis. Humans, when encountered with forced loneliness end up committing the most outrageous acts such as suicide or vent out the frustration on the closest living thing they find.

The Mystical Blue Beauty would be incomplete if it were only the water or if it were only the sea shore. Similarly, life would be incomplete if it were not filled with a combination of happiness, ambitions, satisfaction, fear and sorrow.

om beach          So the next time you happen to visit the beach, remember, there is life within the Mystical Blue Beauty which we need to understand; a life which is far deeper than we can ever reach the depth of; a life which is more vast than we can ever capture in one glance and a life which is louder than the sound of crashing waves.
The Mystical Blue Beauty still has a life not explored much and a lot of it is beyond the imagination of us, smart humans.

Trance-ition

For folks wondering if this is my latest attempt to spread my love of trance...
You can put your thoughts to rest since although this blog does have a trace of my love for Trance, read on to realize that it’s something different as well.

Experiencing 'transitions’, is living life to the fullest for without it, we may never know what all we have gained or lost in this completely insane life.
Transition is one quality which helps us enjoy life as it is today. It is the game of Time, wherein, we living beings become the actors / supporting roles or just mere props to form a story.
This game of time is what we call Life and we "try" living it every day, every moment, but not sure if all the "trying" is really worth it.

Life in the urban setting -- Urban Life as we know it-- has so many transitions of moods involved in just 24hours. We hardly ever realize it or even take the time to think/contemplate about it, or it can be the lack of patience in these fast paced times. Transitions of moods range from happiness to frustration, if you are a working employee/housewife; calm mind to a tension prevailed one if you are a student/Boss.

The ease at which the transition takes place is marvelous, we may never be able to trace back those actions or words which led to the transition of our moods, but all we would know would be that either our day was made or we lost it altogether !
A simple instance of transition of moods in a short period is captured here :
Few close friends get together after a long time and happily start discussing each others lives and as the conversation progresses to some serious topics we see that the smiles fade away and tensions creeps in. The conversation almost comes to a point of saturation with mixed emotions within the group until one person cracks it up, bringing happiness to everyone’s faces.
Transition, especially which includes human emotions, can become one of the finest transitions to capture, both in form of words and pictures. As we grow we understand that both materials and emotions look all good at a bird’s eye view, but it’s only when you start digging deeper you realize the real essence of life. At this juncture, I would like to dedicate/share with my friend Neeraj Bheeman:
“Tragedy of life: Bad times are forgotten at the end of a relationship and just the good times stay to torment the soul..."

This blog was written while I was traveling and had "Time" in abundance just like the thoughts in a feminine mind. As I  was completing the journey back to Bangalore, I could not resist accepting the fact that time had the power to enhance a life when invested in wisely, while at the same time it could create havoc if ignored or not respected...

The best feeling of transition I’ve experienced is through music, especially Trance, where track after track is played to form a Set and it does require an ear for detail to understand where exactly the switch was made between the tracks.
Just as I mentioned above, minute by minute, nothing changes; in relation to music, beat by beat, nothing changes, but after some time it becomes a beautiful track and then, an entire set is made with a collection of beautiful tracks.

Time is there to help you in many ways, but have you given ‘Time’, enough time or a chance to help you??
If not, then make time, b‘cos the clock is always ticking away my friend. Do what your heart says. It is not about the next five years, but it is about the last 5 years of life.
Make a difference to yourself.

Ironical life

“We are not made for each other, we have to call this off “, every time he would hear this statement from his girl, he would know that he could convince her to get back again with him and surprisingly it worked out every time for a couple of months, until the time when there was a surprise in store for this guy.
Since life is temporary and so are emotions, this time around when he heard the words from her which said, "Lets call it off”, deep down inside of him he knew he had lost this game for now and for-ever, the game of love, the game of words, the game of emotions.

Ironically, each one of us struggles through this game once in our life, because if we have not , there is always a possibility of a comment from the critics in our lives saying, if you have not loved, you have not lived your life at all.

Coming to where it all started
: the term "Irony"
I knew this is what I wanted to write about, but explaining life and its ironies seemed more deep than the entire idea itself.
MS Word explains irony as - satire - sarcasm - mockery - quirk of fate.
However adding all those words here will only enhance the vocab of this article and not the content.

Great writers have lived their life
trying to understand the ironies of life and have failed in their attempts to explain it to the world beyond their pen and paper and for those who successfully  made the upper cut and explained things in layman terms, people just laughed it out and forgot ; possible irony of the term irony.

Few such instances are added here:
A friend of mine, Rohit, a techie by profession and an avid photographer by passion, in his recent quest for capturing the best pictures, happened to land in a temple which he had been visiting for yrs together . To his surprise this time around, the Poojari(the priest) asked him "Beta, Camera kaunsa model ka hai SLR series mein" ("Son, What is the model number of this SLR series cam?").  The irony was that he had been visiting this place for so long and no one noticed him, which made him realize that things are valued more than people.

A friend from Canada recently wanted to gift me something as a souvenir and when I was asked what I want, instantly I could not think of something that I need and hence, I replied saying that I don't need anything for now. The guy next to me aware of this situation passed a comment, which I happened to overhear, goes like this:
"Saala jisko bhook hain uske paas khaana nahi hain aur jike pass khaana hain usse bhook nahi !!"
<a person who has hunger gets no food and a person who one has food is not hungry, Alas !>

Recently the a well recognized password management site - updated thier staus in famous social networking site "This site's been hacked, change your password" or in the likes of this : There was a meeting scheduled on global warming the other day in Washington DC, but it was cancelled due to severe snow storm :D

or the best one I happened to hear from my friend who has a kid still his 4th grade and is advised by her Teacher that one cannot write a good essay within few hours and ironically during exams the kid is expected to complete the long essays type answers in under 1h and 30mins

Our life is filled with ironical situation, do you have the eye to enjoy it !
