No idea where it all started or how it came into existence , but it did come . Hitting much harder than expected .. The truth of life is that expectations prepares us for the worst but at the same time but facing disappointment smilingly is not everybody’s cup of tea.
It so happened on a one fine day .. The young lad hopped in to this corporate workplace to complete a few ‘task’ assigned (every work is referred as tasks , corporate jargons you see ) and expecting things to go hay wire like any other new comer wud do..
On the verge of winding up things did he realize as the ‘tasks’ were actually incomplete .. How it is incomplete .. here it goes..
First and foremost .. On the joy of getting a new job .. he forgot to inform his friends ( his best pals) that he is recruited (again a jargon).. so joy of sharing is lost.
On the office floor ( actually called the workstation – since ‘resources’ do nothing but work) resource barely managed to enjoy the reality of the working in a corporate environment which he was always eager to do.
We humans are always hungry dogs , who get their hunger bells ringing way before the lunch time and so it happened for this lad who rushed to café and came back in a jiffy just gulping his food, lost the best time of day, which could have been enjoyed by observing different ‘variety’ of people.
Now back at to desk.. time 2 PM.. the best time not to work as now for the first time in the day are you satisfied after completing something (though the food can be bad at times), the resource is trying to complete the days’ task in the given, in order to be in the good books of the Manager.. lost out on the time actually meant for increasing social networks.
Getting almost to the EOD ( End of day – corporate people love to talk in jargons ) working under stress , resource almost forgot the deadline had already passed…!!
Now since the results were supposed to be delivered asap , struggling between the available task results and some getting delivered in the verge of winding up.. this was the thought running through his mind ..
The day , the task , the lunch , the innovation , the enthu .. they are all still incomplete..!
P.S Thanks Rohit Nair for reviewing this piece of work J
